Freestyle Sessions
We are pleased to offer weekday/weekend freestyle sessions for more advanced skaters to practice jumps, spins and routines. Freestyle is available on a walk-on basis. Please pay at the front desk prior to stepping onto the ice. Skaters, coaches, and parents are to abide by the Freestyle Policies and Etiquette rules.
Freestyle Times and Prices
All freestyle times are $12.00 per 60 minutes session and $6.00 per 30 minute sessions. You must follow all rules set by the rink as well as proper freesyle etiquette. Freestyle sessions are available to any skater Basic 5 and above, unless you are in a private lesson.
Effective March 12, 2024: Freesyle sessions times are as follows:
- Tuesdays 4pm-5:50pm
- Wednesdays 4:00 - 6:00pm
- Thursdays 4pm-5:00pm
- Saturdays 12pm- 1:50pm

Visiting/ Guest Coaching Policies
VISITING/ GUEST COACHES
Welcome to Freestyle at Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex! We are happy to welcome visiting coaches to our rink!
Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex (HISC) coaches are not required to pay coaching fees, but are required to commit to instructing at least 1 hour of Learn to Skate classes per week. Any coach that does not commit to the Learn to Skate requirement is considered a visiting/ guest coach.
- Coaches seeking guest coaching privileges at HISC should contact the Skate Director at least 48 hours in advance. No one is permitted to coach prior to receiving approval by the Skate Director.
- Approval is provided for specific dates/ sessions of freestyle, not for the season or the year.
- Guest coaches must be at least 18 years of age and appear on the USFS Coach Compliance list for USFS membership, NCIS background check and Safesport.
- Guest coaches must provide a copy of liability insurance to HISC to be kept on file for the season.
- Guest coaches are only permitted to coach on freestyle session. Guest coaches may not coach on public sessions.
- Guest coaches should sign in at the front desk and pay the guest coaching fee PRIOR to coaching any students.
